I believe that children are essential, influential, deserving, and beautiful. Children are the future. I believe that students must be recognized as individuals with unique needs. They should be celebrated and treated as the experts that they are. As educators it is our job to meet those needs so they grow to be confident and lifelong learners. Children deserve a safe environment for endless experiences to explore and create. Students are full of endless ideas and possibilities and it our jobs as educators to help guide them towards success. That is what they deserve

a way to show love. It is important as teachers that students are at the center of everything we do. As teachers it is important to focus on not only how students learn academically but socially and emotionally. Teaching is an opportunity to learn from your students as much as they are learning from you. As an educator we have the power to fight for what is right for each individual student. The beauty in teaching is seeing each and every student grow and learn in their own unique way. The beauty is knowing you had a part in that.

I believe that education is multi-layered & multi-modal. I believe that education is from anyone & anywhere. Education is truly a way to make the world a better place. It is an opportunity to challenge the status quo. Education is something that will be happening for the rest of our lives. As humans, we are constantly learning and adapting and growing. School should be a place where learning can happen in more that just the tradition math and reading lesson. We can learn from our interactions and our relationships. We can learn from our emotions and problem solving skills. As teachers, education is our toolbox. We can utilize those tools to create life long learners.
