My Teaching Experiences
Student Teaching
Spring Semester
I was lucky to spend my spring semester at the Butler Lab School 55 with first grade!

During my 16 week experience I was able to plan and teach whole group lessons throughout the school day. I had a lot of experience with the workshop model and project work where I received lots of beneficial feedback. I was able making meaningful connections with 25 wonderful first graders.

From March to May I created E-learning lessons, meetings, and activities for my students.
Student Teaching
Fall Semester
In Fall of 2019, I was able to student teach at Willow Lake Elementary in 4th grade.

This was the school's grand opening and I feel so fortunate to have been there during Willow Lake's first semester as a school! I was able to create and teach all of the different workshops and create very meaningful connections!
Middle Elementary Practicum
Experience Spring 2020
During this semester I had two formative practicum experiences.

I worked on math with my third grade focal student. We created goals, solved problems, and bonded over our love of candy.

I also had a reading group of fourth graders where I created lessons using a variety of mentor texts.

I also participated in events such as the Children's Museum STEM Day, Avon STEM night, Zionsville STEM night and Sycamore Elementary activites.

Early Elementary
Practicum Experience Fall 2019
In this experience, I spent every Wednesday in a fantastic kindergarten class at Butler Lab School 60.
While working with this class, I worked specifically with one focal child and we created and achieved goals together and grew as a teacher/student pair.

Music Education
Practicum Experience
At IPS #87 I was able to work with a group of first graders on creating a song about fall.

The students worked on melody, harmony, rhythm, and more. It was amazing to see how students respond to music!

At the end of our practicum the students performed their songs for their families and classmates.
